Walpack Township Committee Meeting Minutes:

February 22, 2011

The meeting of the Walpack Township Committee was called to order at 8 p.m. by Deputy Mayor Maglio who stated this meeting was being held in compliance with the Open Public Meetings Act having been duly advertised.

Present were: Deputy Mayor Maglio and Committeeman Heigis

Absent: Mayor Fuller

Also in attendance: Michelle LaStarza

Deputy Mayor Maglio and Committeeman Heigis noted the unfortunate accident of Mayor Fuller and wished for his speedy recovery.

Deputy Mayor Maglio made a motion to approve the minutes of the January 2011 seconded by Committeeman Heigis.

Deputy Mayor Maglio made a motion to approve the vouchers for payment seconded by Committeeman Heigis. The following bills were approved for payment:

Chief Finance Officer Michelle LaStarza explained the budget in great detail. A slight increase in costs for insurance and audit services were adjusted in this year’s budget. Committeeman Heigis questioned the computer services in the budget. Ms. LaStarza explained the costs are for the finance and tax services packages. Deputy Mayor Maglio made a motion to approve the introduction of the budget seconded by Committeeman Heigis. A roll call vote followed: Ayes: Heigis, Maglio Absent: Fuller Abstain: 0 Nays: 0 The budget will be advertised and have a public hearing on March 29, 2011.

The committee reviewed the correspondence.

There being no one in attendance and no further business to discuss, Deputy Mayor Maglio made a motion to adjourn seconded by Committeeman Heigis. The meeting was adjourned at 8:16 p.m.
